Twelve years ago, a remake after the classic 1974 “Gone in 60 Seconds” movie brought another four-wheel legend back into the spotlight, and with it, we got a legend of the car world.
The movie presents a retired professional car thief that is pushed by circumstances to come back to his old habits. He has to steal 50 cars and ship them away in order to save his brother from some bad people. One of the cars on the wanted list was a Shelby Mustang GT500 known as the “Eleanor”. The car happened to remain his last vehicle left on the list to steal, but turned out to be the hardest one to get.

This short YouTube montage, reminds us of Eleanor’s personality, filmed in HD and with the proper soudtrack. Also this Eleanor is one of the 15 original Mustang GT500s made by Carol Shelby. It has a 7.0-liter supercharged V8 engine that delivers 650 hp for the rear wheels to be shreded and turned into smoke.
