Rare Feuling W3 Motorcycle Up for Auction

The upcoming Mid America Las Vegas auction, scheduled to take place on January 6-8 will see an interesting lot of vehicles on the block, including a rare Feuling W3 motorcycle, the auction house revealed. The thing that makes it so rare and desired is that the Feuling Motor Company has only made and sold just 18 bikes such as this.

The motorbike in question has 340 miles (547km) on the odometer and 11.7 hours on the engine, its seller states, and it is claimed to be in as good as new condition.

The W3 is a three-cylinder air-cooled W configuration engine, that comes with two valve, triple gear driven ca, with a 4-inch bore and 4-inch stroke, which result in a 2,459 cc unit. The engine is capable of delivering 150 horsepower and 170 lb.ft. (235 Nm) of torque to the rear wheel.

“The three-cylinder arrangement provides inherent smoothness, and the low center of gravity is perfect for motorcycles,”
Mid America Auctions say.

Feuling Motor have developed and licensed technologies to many major companies including Ford, Harley-Davidson, Oldsmobile, Edelbrock, Bell Sports and Shoei. The team has achieved multiple feats, such as the world’s fastest motorcycle (332.103 mph), the world’s highest horsepower engine (10+ hp per cubic inch), the world record for the flying mile (267.399 mph).

They are also responsible for the Centerfire and Max Flow cylinder heads, the AR exhaust system, the CVX muffler, the Three-Vlave Combustion Chamber System and, of course, the W3 motorcycle engine.
