While many Porsche 911 fans are dying to know what the upcoming facelift hides past its active shutter grilles, we still have our focus locked on one question - What’s next in the line of extreme 911, the GT3 RS or the GT2 (if there will still be one)? It appears that the answer is a totally different one, with a Porsche insider revealing the Germans are actually working on a 911 GT3.14.
Wearing the internal code 3.14159, the hardcore 911 is currently in an advanced development stage, with Porsche’s engineers having almost completed the project.

Set to be named the 911 GTπ edition when it hits showrooms across the world, this will be the most track-focused 911 yet. For instance, the vehicle will make us of what Porsche engineers call irrational aerodynamics. In order to go into the details of this, we have a spyshot of the vehicle above.

Pay attention to that massive rear wing. In its final form, this will have the shape of the Greek letter “π”. The resulting profile is set to compensate for the driver’s weight on the circuit using asymmetrical downforce.

Despite being a special edition, the 911 GT π will not be produced in limited numbers. Fret not, the exclusivity is guaranteed. Following Walter Rohl’s advice, Porsche has removed the passenger seat. This was replaced with a set of carbon fiber suitcases, which can hold racing trophies of any shape and size.
