Porsche Panamera to Sell in OZ from July

When the new Porsche Panamera will reach Australian shores in July, the entry level model will cost from $AU193,000, for the Panamera V6 model. This means the admission price for the Panamera grand tourer has been lowered by some AU$77,000.

The Australian market will get a range of five versions of the Panamera, including the V6 and 4 V6 variants which will be introduced at the Beijing Auto Show.

“This V6 has been designed by Porsche specifically for the Panamera,” Porsche Cars Australia managing director Michael Winkler told GoAuto. “It has the power and refinement our customers expect, yet at the same time delivers excellent fuel economy and low CO2 emissions.”

Porsche is introducing five new technologies with the Panamera, including the first Start-Stop system mated to an automatic transmission, air suspension with additional air volume available on demand in each spring, as well as active aerodynamics with an adjustable, multi-dimensional, extendable rear spoiler on the Panamera Turbo.

All versions of the Panamera range come with Porsche Direct Fuel Injection, low-friction drive systems, and weight-optimized lightweight bodies. As for the suspension, it comes in two versions, a steel suspension or an adaptive air suspension with a fully-controlled damper system.

As said, the Panamera will be offered in Australia in five versions: Panamera V6 (AU$193,000), Panamera 4 V6 (AU$204,400), Panamera S V8 (AU$270,200), Panamera 4S V8 (AU$282,400) and Panamera Turbo V8 (AU$364,900).
