Rosberg's Girlfriend Vivian Sibold to Design Lotus F1 Motorhome

Having a Formula One team is not enough to make a strong impression in the paddock, as long as it's not accompanied by a state-of-the-art motorhome. And the Malaysians from Lotus know that all too well, as they have appointed a young designer to prepare their F1 motorhome, due to debut next month, prior to the Spanish Grand Prix on Circuit de Catalunya.

And it's none other than Nico Rosberg's girlfriend Vivian Sibold who was hired by Lotus for designing their F1 home, as the 24-year old German is an interior designer. She used to study interior design in New York and Milano and, according the GMM news agency, she is now starting her own business in Kuala Lumpur.

I've seen the plans and they're very cool. It will be the new party-central of Formula One,” said Rosberg about his girlfriend's plans, according to Bild am Sonntag.

The two have a 5-year relationship, as their families are also known to have a long-time past together. Sibold actually spent the Malaysian Grand Prix weekend with the Mercedes driver in Sepang, as her current business involves interior designing for three-storey penthouses in Kuala Lumpur (although she lives with Rosberg in Monaco).

As far as her resume is concerned, Sibold picked up a training programme in interior designing at Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan, during which she also did some internships in New York and London. Her first major work was designing the “Dracula” club in Levantehaus (Hamburg), which was unveiled to the public in February 2007.
