When it comes to lists of optional extras that look like financial black holes, Porsche is one of the first names on the list. Nevertheless, it appears that one Italian company managed to beat the Germans at their own game, coming up with a Cayman customization scheme that costs EUR 145,000 (close to US$200,000).
Ladies and gentlemen drivers, meet StudioTorino’s Moncenisio, a program that seems to take the Porsche Cayman S into a world resembling the era of coach builders. The aforementioned sum, which does not include the price of the car, is used to offer the mid-engined Porsche an exterior and interior makeover.
And while the original coachbuilders liked to shape metal, StudioTorino treats the Cayman with a mix of modern materials - the front apron, for instance, is made of carbon fiber and Kevlar. The latter was also used on the boot lid, as well as the rear bumper.
Perhaps the greatest visual transformation comes from the rear windows, which have been dropped, offering the car an elegant presence. What’s more, the OEM wheels were replaced with a set of custom rims.
The only tech mod comes in the form of a custom exhaust system, which is here to give the Cayman S’ flat six complete freedom to express its feelings.
As for the cabin transformation, we are treated with goodies such as hand-appointed, micro-perforated leather, while the drive and his passenger are wellcomed via a set of special seats.
The aforementioned price also brings an exclusivity aura, as the StudioTorino Moncenisio will only arrive in 19 units. Furthermore, you can opt for one of the seven exterior shades available.
