If we would have gotten a cookie every time that the Mercedes-Benz S-Class W222 has received an award in the UK this year we would probably have diabetes by now.
We obviously exaggerating a bit, but the “Best Chauffeur Car” prize is actually the fifth award this year for the three-pointed star flagship sedan if we are to only count the ones coming in from Great Britain.
Part of the annual Fleet News Awards - which “recognize the best and most competitive cars, initiatives and operators in the UK fleet industry” - the prize was actually the second award of the night, with Mercedes-Benz also scooping the “Most Improved Fleet Manufacturer of the Year” award.
“The S-Class combines supreme comfort, the latest technology and a strong running costs proposition to appeal to drivers, passengers and business owners alike. It takes Mercedes-Benz back to the top of the league for quality; reputation and image par excellence.” said Stephen Briers, Editor of Fleet News, about the Best Chauffeur Car prize.
Now available with a choice of either four, six, eight and even twelve cylinder engines, the Sonder Klasse (Special Class in German) is seen by many as the best car in the world, whether chauffeured or not, so this award comes as no surprise.
There probably aren't many companies that feature luxury sedan fleets for their employees, but most of who do have chosen the S-Class in the detriment of its competitors apparently.
