A really good coffee. This is what everybody at Le Mans truly needs now. The first four hours of the race have been nothing short of an unexpectedly wet spectacle, albeit a crashy one. An effervescent arena for Porsche to make its comeback then - yep, we're watching that 919 Hybrid closely. Still, since a lot of la Sarte-ing hours are ahead of us, we figured we might as well have that coffee. With some Porsche.
What you see above is Porsche's 919 Hybrid doing its thing at Le Mans, painted in coffee. This is the work of artist Adrian Valentin, who likes his caffeine in a visual flavor. Porsche invited him to watch the race in one of its showrooms, so what you see here is basically a live set of feelings and emotions.
Adrian is an architect who decided the best structures in the world are actually those belonging to our beloved cars, so drawing automobiles is what he does all day.
Returning to Porsche, if you ask them, you'll be told that their motorsport appetite comes not from the thirst of victory, but is fueled by the adrenaline of the fight. We tend to believe them, since the 919 Hybrid has been putting on quite a show so far, battling it out with Audi's Audi R18 e-tron quattro and Toyota's TS040 Hybrid.
The Porsche appears to be the most efficient car so far, but the two aforementioned rivals are just a part of the dangers that lie on the path to victory. The rest is comprised of superb insanity - just look at how violent Porsches are flying over those vibrators. We wouldn't count on the current sunny state of the weather though. Oh yes, this is going to be a long, sweet night.
