We’re pretty sure that the German engineers who created the Porsche 911 Turbo didn’t place the drag strip at the top of their list of priorities. Don’t get us wrong, the 911 Turbo’s all-wheel drive system makes it unbelievably quick off the line, but this is not the point here.
However, US aftermarket developer Advance One Wheels chose to take an example of the 911 Turbo, which had been gifted with new shoes, to a drag strip for a photo shoot and is now inviting us to enjoy the results.
A black example of the 911 Turbo belonging to the 997.1 generation (this is the pre-facelift model of the current-generation Turbo) was fitted with ADV05TF wheels, which use a five double-spoke design that fits the styling cues of the car.
The rims come with a polished finish for the centers and a chrome finish for the lips and they offer us a pretty good view of the car’s beefy braking system.
