BMW might market the X5 as a Sports Activity Vehicle, but this is ridiculous: an X5 driver who was running from the police crashed into a house, with the car ending up on top of a sleeping man’s bed!
It all happened in the proximity of Southern Connecticut State University, with the driver probably relying to much on the xDrive system’s abilities when trying to avoid police “stop sticks”.
According to The Associated Press, Michael Sweat, a 34-year old was sleeping in his house, located in the Newhallville neighborhood, when the SUV crashed through the wall and pinned him there, where he was stuck for about one hour.
The man was taken to the hospital, where it was determined that he had suffered second- and third-degree burns to the lower part of his body. And we haven't even gotten to the strange part yet: the driver somehow managed to escape on foot!
