The Australian Police is well known for being very strict when it comes to driving rules, with the country even having rules that clearly state aggressive driving behavior should be punished. However, the list of offenses is extremely wide and you can, for example, draw undesired penalties for just revving your engine.
This is exactly what happened to Australian tennis star Bernard Tomic, who was recently pulled over for allegedly revving the V8 engine of his BMW M3 at pedestrians.
After he received a ticked for this, the police followed him, willing to see if he only drives the vehicle from home to work and back - his age, 19, means that he only has a probationary license, which doesn’t allow him to drive high performance vehicles outside this route.
The officers considered that he was not going home and wanted to pull him over for a second time but he refused to stop - he was followed home, where he refused to talk to the police. Tomic’s family is reportedly planning to file a complaint against the police, but nothing is official yet - you can watch a video of the story over at Yahoo! Sports.
