Piloti to Debut Moto 800 Boots at the 2010 US MotoGP

The first motorcycle boot in Piloti’s range, the Moto 800, will make its debut at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, as part of the 2010 Red Bull US Grand Prix. According to the manufacturer, the Moto 800 was designed at the request of MotoGP fans who asked for a lightweight, functional and comfortable motorcycle shoe.

"The Piloti Moto 800 truly was conceived as a direct result of the feedback we received at the Red Bull US Grand Prix at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Our customers were asking for the same thing - a lightweight Piloti casual shoe that they could also wear on the bike. The Moto 800 was designed, tested, and produced to be the ultimate casual shoe for the motorcyclist," Kevin Beard, CEO of Piloti, said in a release.

Named for the 800 cc displacement of the Moto GP, Piloti’s Moto800 riding boot features an all leather construction, with the company’s patented Roll Control heel, mid-foot arches to fit pegs of a motorcycle, and a mid-foot spat that covers the laces and keeps the elements out.

By incorporating their new Tec-Tuff leather at the toe, Piloti has increased wear protection from either a left or right foot shift while maintaining flexibility.

"We have enjoyed a tremendous relationship with Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. It is truly a partnership where we are able to establish a direct line of communication with our customers and the fans of Piloti shoes - which helps us design better shoes or, in the case of the Moto 800, a brand new kind of shoe," added Beard.
