Lituanian industrial designer Ignas Survila decided he would reinvent the average kick scooter bringing a fresh touch of style and practicality to it. Still a project in development, Pigeon comes with a subtle yet colorful line while it folds up with only one foot-press. An asymmetric axis gives the owner the possibility to carry it on their shoulder, and the simple design makes it very light.
The streamlined, tangerine-hued prototypical people-propeller was created by Ignas Survila, an art director and CGI designer in Vilnius, Lithuania. Working as a freelancer for different advertising agencies, Survila says he wants to create a device that is able to convert people’s everyday rush, into a delightful and pleasant process. And he thinks Pigeon will achieve it.
“Even though a large variety of kick scooters exist today and the creation of one more kick scooter was a big challenge, new unforeseen results have been achieved. A lot of kick scooters are manufactured according to one model, which, however, has not been made to perfection to be a convenient and aesthetically attractive product,” Pigeon’s creator explains on Behance.
According to the source, the kick scooter may be folded by one-time pushing with a foot, after which it becomes compact, of streamlined forms, thus making it comfortable in use. The product is not yet ready, so there is no price tag on it, but we’re pretty sure it will come out as an affordable toy.
