Piecha Design is back with a new Mercedes-Benz tuning kit, with the company now targeting the M-Klasse (W164), as well as the GL-Klasse - X164 (the package is suitable for both models).

After the last PIECHA Design world premiers (SLK Performance RS & E-Class Cabriolet) were spectacular refinements of fresh air bolides, the Rottweil Mercedes-Benz specialists now took an off-road "field trip": The brand-new Evorian RS-programme was specifically customised by PIECHA Design for the W164 M-Class and the technically closely related GL-class X164,” stated the press release.

We shall start with the tech mods: the aftemrarket developer offers a Power Converter Intermedia RS, which sharpens the index curve of the drive-by-wire system, a set of H&R coil springs that bring the UV closer to the road by 35 mm at the front and by 50 mm at the rear, as well as an electronic lowering module for the versions that use an air suspension.

"It is probably common knowledge by now that vehicles refined by PIECHA Design are almost mandatory equipped with the Power Converter Intermedia RC. This interesting component clearly sharpens the index curve of the electronic throttle pedal, which leads to a noticeably improved acceleration and dynamic reaction behaviour from the speed bottom. PIECHA offers this smart component for all Mercedes models built in 2000 and after with electronic gas pedal," a company statement reads.

The vehicle sits on Piecha dp1-CC Silver light rims that use a three-piece construction and come with high-gloss polished stainless steel bases. These are wrapped in Continental high performance tires.

The list of exterior goodies includes LED daytime running lights, a set of side sills LEDs (four for each side), high-gloss chrome aerowings, an RS rear diffuser, as well as a Quadro four-tube exhaust conversion, which includes two-chrome-plated double-tune end pieces that are screwed to the serial mufflers.
