Over the years, B-segment Peugeots grew in size and weight, at the same time dawning an ever large smile from one headlight to the other, like they were saying "I have eaten all the pies and there is nothing you can do about it!"
Fortunately, last year they remembered they are actually quite good at making superminis, and they corrected the oversize blob that was the 207 with a much smaller, cuter car. Its successor, the 208, is without a doubt a successful car, capturing the zest of the old 205.

Peugeot's design boldness has been rewarded with strong sales figures in Britain, traditionally a strong market for superminis. Deliveries of the 208 totaled over 30,000 during the first quarter of 2013, just as the new XY and GTi versions are about to hit the market.

Overall, the French carmaker reported a 6.3% increase in demand from British customers. The other top selling models in the range – the compact 107, 308 hatchback, and 3008 Crossover – also remain very popular with customers.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
