Crossing the street in Russia is tricky and often dangerous, as even when pedestrians are on the crosswalk, cars simply do not stop to give way. If, however, pedestrians try crossing the street where there isn’t a crosswalk, drivers get even more courageous.
The two pedestrians trying to cross the street in this video have clearly chosen a very bad time to do so, as the traffic lights for the waiting cars were just turning green. The car with the dash-mounted camera does stop to let them pass, but another car, a Mitsubishi Lancer, almost hits one of them. Thankfully for the pedestrian, he display super-human reflexes and is able to do a Matrix-style dodge, ending up being merely grazed.
Everybody was OK in the end, and the pedestrian (who was having a hard time keeping his balance - we suspect vodka) went on his way afterward.
