Some racing moments will never be forgotten, and one of such legendary bit of sporting history is Valentino Rossi passing Casey Stoner on the inside of the infamous “Corkscrew” at Laguna Seca. Yamaha decided to capture the moment with a new issue of their amazing paper craft designs.
The project took one year of painstaking work from designer Nobutaka Mukouyama and is now available for free download. You’ll need 48 A4 pages of paper or cardboard in order to recreate the historic scene, even though Stoner’s Ducati is not there.
However, you’re in for quite a lot of fun, as this Yamaha papercraft is more than a meter (39”) wide, 17.6 cm (6.9”) high and 19.5 cm (7.7”) deep. Yamaha also encourages that those who complete the Rossi papercraft take photos of it and set them on display.
Since Rossi got the exact same treatment from Marquez in 2013, we guess Honda could give Mr. Mukouyama a call, don’t you think?
