Following the recent media leak, Porsche's 2014 Panamera is very official and very cool, at least in our opinion. Porsche fans will most certainly enjoy the updated styling, seen here for the first time on the S E-Hybrid, a new plug-in hybrid model that's just been added to the range.
With a sporing new front end and green brake calipers, the Panamera S E-Hybrid looks a lot like the Sport Turismo Concept which previewed these changes the four-door saloon last year.

The powertrain combines a V6 engine with a new electric motor that produces 96 hp (70 kW), more than double the power of the old electric motor offered by the hybrid Panamera. The car is also equipped with a brand new lithium-ion battery, which at 9.4 kWh has over five times the 1.7 kWh energy capacity of the previous battery.

Not only can the car run in electric mode, but it can also be recharged from o an industrial outlet using integrated on-board charger and the standard Porsche Universal Charger (AC). The car can be driven in electric-only mode at speeds of up to 135 km/h, so you might even be able to keep up with highway traffic. On a full change, the car can travel for 36 kilometers using electricity, at least acceding to the NEDC cycle. Porsche themselves admit this could be diminished to as little as 18 kilometers in the real world.

The Panamera S E-Hybrid will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds and all reach its maximum speed at 270 km/h. Combine that combined fuel consumption figures of just 3.1 liters/100km, and you have one amazing car.
