P Diddy Could Have Driven You Home on New Year's Eve

New Year's Eve might have passed a few days ago, but Sean Combs' initiative to put an end to drunk driving in the night between years (and in general also) will surely be spoken of a while from now on.

Mr Combs and his team started the New Year with charitable actions... towards drunk drivers. For New Yorkers who wanted to enjoy themselves and have a few drinks, Mr Comb and the gang offered taxi rides home to avoid future DUI incidents, celebitchy.com reported (via ContactMusic).

The gesture is even more praiseworthy since Mr Combs/Puff Daddy/P Diddy or whatever-his-name-is didn't charge any penny for the ride.

Amateurs could get their $15 vouchers from Times Square and in Chelsea starting with last Wednesday at 11 p.m. until early in the morning on Thursday.

P Diddy is all aware that New Year's party is a lot of fun, but drivers mustn't take any unnecessary risks.

“New York is the world’s most iconic New Year’s Eve city, so let’s lead by example and show everyone that a sophisticated holiday celebration doesn’t just end when the ball drops, but when everyone gets home safely,” he kindly confessed.

But hey, Mr Combs didn't rent all those cars to make some charity at the beginning of the year. Those who don't know, the rapper/producer has opened a Taxi company for drunk celebrities at the beginning of last year.

So far we don't know whether his kind gesture was a result of the fact that celebs like Paris Hilton, Britney Spears or Lindsay Lohan didn't take advantage of his services or it was just a charitable sign from a mogul who's not affected by the financial crisis.
