Try to remember how the smallest scratch you find on your car’s bumper causes some serious freaking out sessions. Now imagine how the poor owner of this auto dealership must’ve felt when he found an army of firefighters putting out any embers from a fire that engulfed his entire fleet of more than 500 cars.
It might not be a new-car dealership, but that doesn’t mean the fire didn’t cause million dollars worth casualties. The disaster happened Friday, in South Korea’s second largest city of Busan. Several hours after the first responders got there, firefighters were still struggling to put a hold to the tremendous flames, in the hopes the arson will not expand.

Reports say the fire broke out at dawn while the reasons it started in the first place remain unknown. In order to make sure there was no danger left, the firefighters virtually destroyed the complex. “The fire department dispatched 100 fire engines and 360 firefighters to the scene to extinguish the arson,” the local newspaper reports.

According to the source, the estimated damage is worth nearly 3.5 billion won ($3,22 million). It appears the dealership is located in a residential area of the city, which forced the first responders to evacuate approximately 230 residents. Fortunately, there were no people injured during the event.

You don’t really have to be any kind of expert to realize how big the fire was. Looking at the images with the totaled cars gave us the chills and made us think of the apocalyptical Mad Max scenario.

Random fact: Busan is the largest port city in South Korea and the world’s fifth busiest seaport by cargo tonnage. Considering we're talking about an urban agglomeration, we can assume that things could have been a lot worse
