This is a 'you have to see it to believe it' kind of situation. A Toyota Land Cruiser was caught on film carrying a Mercedes-Maybach S-Class on its roof on the streets of a Russian city.
If you think you have seen it all, well... guess again! You haven't seen an SUV carrying a luxury sedan until now. There is no information on where this happened exactly. But the building across the intersection showing up in the video says Severnyy Rynok, which is Russian for The North Market.

We googled the place, but there are a gazillion towns in Russia with a North Market. But we could not resort to “somewhere in Russia,” so we kept searching for the place, making phone calls, and texting, until we located the Toyota Land Cruiser and the Mercedes-Maybach.

The video was shot in Rostov-on-Don in the Rostov region, located in Southern Russia. So this happened in a city with 1.1 million residents. And some of them got to see a sight to behold.

The 12-second video uploaded on YouTube just a few hours ago shows a Toyota Land Cruiser 100 carrying a Mercedes-Maybach S-Class on its roof. The luxury sedan seems supported only by a structure of wood and seems to have the axles anchored to it. So there is no way that car is going to drop from up here.

Unless the Toyota flips, too. And it’s got every chance to do it, considering that the Maybach is not exactly a one-ton Mazda MX-5 Miata, but a behemoth that tips the scale at over 2.2 tons.

The car measures 214.7 inches (5,453 mm) in length, 74.75 inches (1,899 mm) in width, 58.98 inches (1,498 mm) in height and sports a wheelbase of 132.5 inches (336.5 centimeters) in length. It is approximately 7.9 inches (200 mm) longer than the long-wheelbase S-Class. So that really is a lot even for the unbeatable, rugged Land Cruiser to carry.

It is obvious that the SUV puts a lot of effort into it. But it can still move forward. The multi-spoke aerodynamically optimized high-sheen wheels of the Maybach hang each from up there, framing the roof of the Toyota.

We can’t tell the reason why anybody would choose to transport a car on a car like that. It’s no excuse, even if the Maybach does not run or drive. A trailer would have done the job properly. There are two people on board the Land Cruiser. To warn the other drivers of the hazard, they hung a warning triangle to the left rear corner of the Maybach.

The car reportedly belongs to a Russian vlogger, Chebotarev. He has previously put the Maybach through so many trials that it is a miracle it has survived. Or not, since it's being transported like this.

Shared on social media as well as on YouTube, the fresh video is now accompanied by several comments, with people assuming that the engine of the Maybach is not with the car anymore, which would definitely make it lighter. But regardless if it’s a Maybach S 400 4MATIC with a 3.0-liter V6, a Maybach S 500 with a V8, or the S 600 with the V12, it still is too much on the plate of the Toyota Land Cruiser. We hope that the cops pulled the car over. Both cars, actually.
