Oliver Jarvis to Congratulate FC Bayern

FC Bayern Munchen, the winner of the Audi Cup will be congratulated at the Oschersleben event this weekend, by Oliver Jarvis, who was the first driver in the new DTM history to finish in pole position in a year-old car. Jarvis has been advertising the Audi Cup soccer tournament during the first four races of the 2009 season.

The Audi Cup was also attended by other DTM stars, such as Katherine Legge, Tom Kristensen, Timo Scheider, Martin Tomczyk and Markus Winkelhock. They were all present at the Allianz Arena during the final, when FC Bayern Munich defeated Manchester United with a 7-6 score after the penalty shootout.

The DTM race at Oschersleben will not be missed by several members of the AUDI AG executive board, such as Rupert Stadler, Chairman of the Executive Board, Ulf Berkenhagen, responsible for Purchasing, and Michael Dick, Executive Board Member for Technical Development.

DTM fans will also be enjoying two new services free of charge from now on, as Audi also launched the Audi DTM text message service and a new trackside service. The first transmits current results after qualifying and races to the mobile phones after the user registers online on the carmaker’s website.

Moreover, the users are given the chance to download applications to the mobile phones via Bluetooth, from the engine sound of the Audi A4 DTM and video clips to product information. The Audi Drive Aways will have 25 of the A5 Coupe, A4 Sedan and Avant and TTRS model vehicles to go on track in a parade, and handed over to dealers after the race ends.

Also, from other events scheduled to take place at Oschersleben, a slot car race will bring members of the rally racing Carrera Cup from Hamburg to compete against DTM stars Mattias Ekström, Alexandre Prémat and Mike Rockenfeller, Porsche driver Jeroen Bleekemolen as well as Volkswagen Junior René Rast.
