Ogier Leads Australia's Superspecials

French rally driver Sebastien Ogier tops the second superspecial in his Citroen C4. The Citroen Junior driver led after Thursday's two opening evening practice sessions. The drivers went two times around the 2.5 km Tweed stage on the streets of Murwillumbah, but the Australia Rally will include many other fast forrest stages, where the situation changes, thus the times recorded on asphalt aren't be conclusive. Sebastien Ogier is certain, however, that he will have a good run. "I'm confident. It's a new rally for everybody so it's a good opportunity for us to fight for a good result," declared Ogier. The Frenchman finished 3.5 seconds ahead of his nearest rival, Henning Solberg in the Ford Focus RS of Stobart Ford's team. Jari-Matti Latvala managed only 5th with a 5.1-second gap behind Ogier. "Now the confidence is improving. I was quite nervous before this stage, but once we've done this one it's easier to go to the gravel," said Latvala. Leaderboard after stage 2 of 35
