While some riders will fronw and say that winter is not the season for riding a motorcycle, we're happy to announce them that there is a huge community of winter-lovers who can't wait to ride on snow and ice.
And by all means we believe them, because being able to do 60 mph (100 km/h) on a frozen lake in January is an exhilarating experience... provided you've shod your beast with ice-screws tires, that is. Even simply taking a light and brawny 2-stroke bike for some forest trail riding on paths covered in snow produces a feeling like no other.
Now, one thing is true: if you're ready to ride the winter, then you must also be ready to take a fall, so you'd better train for this, too, and wear protective gear. And tape everything: as long as you're in one piece back at home, there's only the pleasant experience and laughter remaining.
