Novitec Rosso Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M...

...or how to make a limited edition become even more limited. German tuner Novitec gave it a shot, and this is what came out. A 696 hp, 330 km/h (205 mph) monster, boosted by Novitec's Race Bi-Compressor, custom built for the 16M.

The factory built 4.3l V8 is supercharged by two cogged-belt-driven high-performance compressors, with a maximum boost pressure of 0.48 bar. Each cylinder bank is fitted with a properly dimensioned water-to-air intercooler, while a specially manufactured heat-insulated intake manifold with larger cross-sections provides the engine with pre-compressed air. High-performance air filters and larger injectors complete Novitec's package for 16M engine.

The package is being offered by Novitec for 47,000 euro, for both the 16M and all other F430 Spider models. For this you get, as we said, 696 hp and 682 Nm of torque at 6,300 rpm. Translated into speed, it means naught to sixty acceleration in 3.5 seconds.

The increased performance means other parts of the car had to be modified as well. The 16M now boasts sportier springs, and a hydraulic lift system for the front axle. Novitec Rosso double-spoke wheels in size 8.5Jx20 in front and in size 12Jx20 in back widen the track and allows higher cornering speeds.

For the exterior, Novitec will provide black taillights, side markers and reflectors. On the interior, as an option, the kit is comprised of ergonomically shaped leather/carbon-fiber steering wheel, carbon-fiber shift paddles, as well as special interior colors.

Not much, visually, you might say. But who needs anything else, when we know what lies under the hood?
