As the US auto market is apparently doing very well, with two Japanese manufacturers leading the market (Toyota and Honda). However, a third, albeit smaller Japanese automaker is also doing very well in America: Nissan.
Their North America division recorded sales of 81,801 units in June, which equates to a 24.6% increase to last year’s June sales of 65,659 units. Their most successful model is the Altima which managed to sell 21,812 cars, signifying a year-to-year increase of 11.7%, being followed by the Rogue with 10,999 (46.8% increase), as well as the Juke which sold 3,101 units (52.7% increase).
Considering the fact that their lxury sub-brand, Infiniti, is also doing quite well Stateside, Nissan North America’s VP and General Manager Al Castignetti’s optimism is justified, as he goes on to say: "We expect our momentum to continue into July, the first full month of sales for our all-new 2013 Nissan Altima, which is our most innovative mid-size sedan ever."
