The Nissan GT-R is already a bewildering machine and with the 2012 model year (2013 MY in the US) upgrade, Nissan has made the car significantly sharper. However, it seems that there’s room for even more goodies, as the company is now introducing the Track Pack for the 2012 GT-R.
This brings a set of tech and aerodynamic mods that allows the car to be even more fierce on racks and yet fully road-legal and easy to drive on the road.
The connection to the road is now established using a set of lightweight RAYS alloy wheels that use a six-spoke design, while the spring rates have been optimized for track use (the dampers retain their adjustable nature). We also receive new brake cooling ducts in the front bumper and behind the rear wheels.
In the cabin, the Recaro front seats use blue trimming for the bolsters and are finished in an innovative material that is aimed at keeping the driver in his place. The rear seats have been removed as part of a light diet.
Under the bonnet, we get the standard specs of the 2012MY GT-R, which means that the driver can play with 550 hp. Nissan announced a 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) time of 2.7 seconds (we’ll remind you that the standard 2012 GT-R has recorded at 2,84s o to 62 mph sprint time).
In the UK, the Track Pack brings a GBP10,000 (EUR11,736) premium over the GBP74,450 (EUR87,376) price of the 2012 GTR, with deliveries scheduled to debut in March next year.
