This video shows a Nissan GT-R on a track day hitting a small eagle at our favorite German venue, the Nurburgring. Buy, talk about a bad day for the eagle!
About mid-way through a hot lap, the eagle pops out of the forest and hits the car on the right side, in front of the driver. At the time, the GT-R was doing about 230 km/h, which to put into perspective is about five times what you should be doing in urban areas when going home tonight. Not surprisingly, the damage to the car is massive, even though it's a small bird.
Looking into the rear-facing camera installed on the track that day, the eagle appears to be OK as it flies away, but there's no way of knowing for sure.
