Nissan Announces 2012 NV Commercial Van US Pricing

Nissan North America Inc. announced today the pricing of the 2012 Nissan NV. The vehicle is the a first attempt to capture a slice of the commercial vehicle market in the United States. The company stated that the Nissan NV, scheduled to launch in spring 2011, is the first commercial van to offer rugged body-on-frame construction combined with a High Roof.

The full NV lineup comprises of the NV1500 with a standard 4.0-liter V6 engine, the NV2500 HD with a choice of 4.0-liter V6 or 5.6-liter V8 engines and the NV3500 HD with standard 5.6-liter V8. All these models come wit a five-speed automatic transmission.

The vehicle, which will hit dealers next year, comes with a high roof that helps most van users to walk, stand and work in the cargo area with ease. Other highlights include wide overhead console, large door pockets, storage compartments for binders and notebooks, as well as a passenger seat with a segment-exclusive fold-down feature that enables the driver to create a worktable.

Prices range from $24,590 to $29,790 (€18,404 to 22,296) for the Standard Roof variant, and from $27,990 to $32,190 (€20,949 to €24,094) for the NV High Rooof Commercial Van. Sales are scheduled to start through a nationwide network of Nissan Commercial Vehicle dealers, beginning in spring 2011. The van, which was designed and conceived as a solution to the needs of today’s commercial van customers, will be produced at Nissan’s Canton assembly plant.

"The Nissan NV means business. We've got a rugged chassis, ample power and fuel economy, a comfortable cabin and a huge cargo capacity.  We're meeting the needs of commercial van owners and operators with innovation and a shared vision," said Joe Castelli, Nissan's vice president for commercial vehicle sales.
