Portuguese helmet manufacturer Nexx brings an updated version of their X30 helmet, now retailing under the name X30.V. The Nexx X30.V is an interesting helmet bringing forth a mixture between a modular and a full-face design.
While some will love it, other will definitely try to avoid it: far from judging, we say that the Nexx X30.V looks really alluring. It's the chin bar that sets the Nexx X30.V apart from other similar designs as the front portion of the helmet is actually made from 3 elements: the rotating face piece, the visor and the said chin bar.

This means that the Nexx X30.V will open pretty much like any flip-up helmet would, with the face protection and visor moving up, yet leaving the chin bar in place, for added protection even when open. This issue is the one making wearing open flip-ups less secure in case of a crash, but it seems like Nexx are trying to solve the problem.

The Nexx X30.V comes in several colors and is safety-certified in more than 40 countries, US included. The expected US price is around $360 (€270).
