New VW Golf VII Commercial Promotes Accessories

Volkswagen has a new Golf out, but you’d be forgiven for thinking it looks a bit like the old one. But, being one of the most successful cars in the world has its perks, one of them being the fact that everybody loves a familiar shape.
The new Golf is lighter, safer and more economical, but that’s not what the latest commercial is about. It’s about personalization options and the chance to make each buyer’s model their own.

The theme of the ad is “beach day”, as a bunch of friends get together in their trusty Golf for a day at the not so sunny (presumably German) beach. We get to check out a cool body kit (skirts and rocker panels), bigger wheels (which look ABT-designed), a top box and a waterproof trunk floor.

If you’d like to let VW help you part with more money, than you’ll enjoy this commercial. We surely didn’t.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
