The next generation of the Renault Clio will come to the world at next year’s Paris Auto Show, promising to up the ante on all fronts, as autocar reports.
Renault wants to turn the Clio into a cars that stirs passion and it won’t only rely on design to do so. First of all, the car will only be offered as a five-door incarnation, as Renault says that it has chosen this pathway thanks to profitability. The interior will come with a higher level of quality and will be focused on the driver.
However, we don’t want to move over the “design” chapter without mentioning that the car will be visually inspired from the Renault DeZir concept, which was presented last year, with the facelifted version of the Twingo, which has just been revealed at the Frankfurt Auto Show, also offering us a few hints on how the car will look like.
The Clio will also come with a lot of customization options, allowing you to make it your own. The idea is that Renault is looking to turn the Clio into a icon, something that could rival cars like Mini.
Before we go, there’s one more thing we want you to know - there will also be a Renaultsport incarnation, which will use a downsized turbocharged engine to deliver top thrills.
