New Mercedes-Benz CLS Is a Hole-In-One

Over 100 golfing enthusiasts and Mercedes-Benz customers from 43 different countries are attending the 2010 MercedesTrophy World Final that starts today and lasts until September 27 in Stuttgart, Germany. There will be 27 teams playing in the international amateur golf tournament, at the Bad Liebenzell and Schloss Nippenburg golf clubs.

Participants to the MercedesTrophy World Final will also enjoy a unique preview of the new Mercedes-Benz CLS, ahead of its world premiere set to take place next week in Paris.

The new CLS comes with a choice of five interior colours, five trim part variants and three types of leather. The model will arrive in showrooms in January 2011, priced from EUR 63,427.

“We are delighted to be able to welcome friends and customers of Mercedes-Benz from all over the world to the final of the MercedesTrophy here in Stuttgart,” stated Joachim Schmidt, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Mercedes-Benz Cars.

“As usual, a thrilling and perfectly organised tournament lies in store for all competitors. Besides the attractive programme of accompanying events, which will introduce the finalists to our city and region, they can also look forward to another special highlight in the form of the new Mercedes-Benz CLS – the new style icon from Mercedes-Benz,” added Schmidt.

There is also a Driving Experience event, which gives the MercedesTrophy finalists the chance to try out various current Mercedes-Benz models. A special driving training course has been planned for them too. Specifically, under the guidance of DTM drivers Bruno Spengler and Jamie Green, they will be able to take the wheel of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG supercar.
