For the last few years, all the BMW GS Challenge competitions have been held in Quebec, but that's already a matter of the past, as this contest changed location to Ontario. And to be more specific, it's the Horseshoe Resort near Barrie.
Still at a big distance from the enduro riders in British Columbia and Alberta, thus a bit on the unfair side, we'd say. Maybe BMW Canada could try and split the GS Challenge in two or three zones so that more riders could have fair chances to make it to the competition and prove their skills.
For those who own a GS and still don't have any idea on what's going on, here's some enlightenment. The BMW GS Trophy is a worldwide competition pitting riders of bog GS bikes against each other in a contest involving tacking all sorts of obstacles, such as water, loose ground, wading creeks and whatnot. The world final brings together riders from no less than 15 countries.
The Canadian GS Challenge will be held June 14-16 and if you feel like seeing how good a team you and your GS are, check with the Horseshoe BMW website for more info.
