The brand new Lexus GS sedan is gradually being rolled in all markets and the RHD version has finally found it way to the UK market, where it’s now available for order with deliveries scheduled for the middle of June.
The cheapest you can go is the GS 250, which goes for £32,995, while the full GS 450h hybird is available from £44,995. However, the mainstay of the US market offensive, the GS 350 with its V6 engine, is missing from the offering.
The base car is powered by a more European 2.5-liter V6 petrol engine that delivers 206bhp on British roads, while the GS 450h combines a 3.5-liter Atkinson-cycle V6 petrol engine with the Lexus Hybrid Drive system for a total output of 338bhp.
The base SE trim level that’s only available for the 250 comes with 17-inch alloys, automatic bi-xenon headlamps and windscreen wipers, LED daytime running lights, a rear-view camera with parking guide monitor, leather upholstery, dual zone climate control, electrically adjustable, heated and ventilated front seats and a high-end audio system.
Meanwhile, the Luxury grade adds goodies like front and rear parking sensors, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, an HDD satellite navigation system with Remote Touch controller and a blind spot detection system and 18-inch wheels.
Both engines are available in combination with the F Sport package, which ads new bumpers, 19-inch wheels sports seats and pedals, Adaptive Variable Suspension and selectable drive, plus the Lexus Dynamic Handling System for the 450h.
