The Volkswagen Group has something to be happy about as the brand has been experiencing a recent boost in their VW sales. It seems that the German car brand has had a 3 percent raise in November thanks to the high demand for their best-selling vehicle, the Golf hatchback.
The seventh-generation Golf had quite an impact on their sales, deliveries increasing to 522,100 just last month. For the first eleven months of the year, Volkswagen Passenger Cars sales are up to 5.4 million vehicles, up 3.4% from last year.

“Our brand's most important model, the Golf, has once again been a strong driver. The latest generation has got off to an excellent start and we will be delivering the 500,000th model this December, just one year after the market launch,” says Klingler, Board Member for Sales and Marketing for the Volkswagen Group and the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand.

Also, they were hoping that by introducing the new Golf in the United States as well as China, they will further increase their sales and gain an even higher percentage. The People's republic has bought 2.26 million Volkswagens so far this year, more than a third of overall figures. Compared to a year ago, demand is up 17.6% there.

These numbers helped Volkswagen compensate for the overall weakness in the European Market (down -4.8% this year) and reduced demand in North America (-5.2% to 563,000 vehicles).
