We've gotten used to the Chinese and their way of doing business over the years. Unfortunately, old habits die hard and Brilliance's new van shows it best.
After other manufacturers previously copied the BMW trademark features shamelessly, it's time for the German company's own partner to do so. The Jinbei Haixing X30 minivan (interesting name) has some rather interesting design traits.

The 'Sea Star' (or Haixing in Chinese) has something on its nose that is definitely reminding us of the kidney grilles found on BMW ever since the 303 model was introduced, back in 1933.

Furthermore, even the rear end of this car kind-of resembles the BMW F01 7 Series' design, with the same kind of chrome bar between the taillights and the overall similar shape of the red lights.

This is not the first time Brilliance did this kind of thing. Almost every model in their X range looks like a crashed BMW, including the Haixing X7, Haixing X9 and the T20 pick-up van.

It is interesting to see how the Chinese are taking after the well known Bimmers. Instead of making beautiful cars inspired by the passionate design of the Bavarian car, they're going for this tall, narrow, goggly eyed fish look that is just awful. Well, though luck China!
