Bentley has announced that the new Continental GT V8 coupe makes its official public debut at the 2012 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition.
As you probably know by now, this car is powered by a new 4.0-liter V8 engine developed with Audi. Thanks to its twin-turbo setup, the engine uses 40 percent less fuel and puts out less CO2 than the W12. New technologies developed for this car include direct injection, variable displacement and new close-ratio 8-speed transmission.
Chinese customers will be able to enjoy the full 500 bhp (507 PS) and an impressive peak torque of 660 Nm (487 lb ft) which is available across virtually the entire rev range from 1700 to 5000 rpm.
This is enough to propel the Continental GT V8 from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.8 seconds) and on a top speed of 188 mph (303 km/h).
