Mercedes' lucky hand now contains a par of aces, the same color but slightly different shape. The brand new A45 AMG and CLA 45 AMG represent the company's future and are widely expected to outsell the C63, a long-time best seller for Affalterbach performance brand.
"The A 45 AMG and the CLA 45 AMG see Mercedes-AMG embarking on a new era. For the first time in the company's history extending back over more than 45 years, Mercedes-Benz's performance brand is offering two high-performance cars powered by a four-cylinder engine. Both new models provide an exciting introduction to the world of AMG," the Germans say.

The engine they are referring to is the new M133, derived from the 2-liter turbo used by the A 250, but tuned to produce a massive 360 PS and 450 Nm of torque. Both the A45 and CLA 45 get to 100 km/h in just over 4 seconds, but amazingly emissions are just 161-165 grams per kilometer and fuel consumption is estimated at 6.9 to 7.1 l/100km.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
