New 22-Inch Alloy Rims from AC Schnitzer

We all know the visual aspect of a car is the most important when it comes to catch the consumer’s eye and it's the wheels that create the physical and the visual connection to the road. German tuner AC Schnitzer has just introduced their latest alloy rims, with the external diameter of 22 inches, weighing only 14.3 kg each.

The new one-piece forged alloys Type V in BiColor finish have been designed to complete the styling of BMW vehicles like the new 7-Series (F01/F02), the X5 (E70) and the X6 (E71).

"So the right proportion of wheels to bodywork is extremely important. If the wheels are too small, the car soon starts to look leggy and unstable,“ said the AC Schnitzer Chief Designer Michele Viandante, trying to explain over half a meter size Type V alloys.

“The central element is the delicate but solid-looking spoke matrix with its five triangular webs. The deeply dished centre, and the spokes appearing to rush into it, emphasises the uncompromising dynamic impression,” says a Company’s statement.

The new Type V forged alloys are available in the following sizes for the vehicles listed:

• Vehicles: BMW X5 (E70), X6 (E71) and 7-series (F01 / F02)
• Wheel type: Forged alloy Type V, Typ VII
