Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Demo Comes Next Month

There's no more need for us to get into the history and accomplishments of the Need for Speed line of games, because we're pretty much sure there isn't a single one of you out there who doesn't know what the game is all about.

As you know by now, Criterion Games is getting ready to release a new version of the game, one which promises to be the most exciting yet. Called Hot Pursuit, the game will see a demo coming out next month, on October 26, prior to the game's release on November 16.

As you already know, the game will introduce a whole new feature for online play, called Need for Speed Autolog. Through Autolog, players can compare racing stats and automatically get personalized gameplay recommendations.

The game will feature the hottest, fastest and meanest cars on the roads today. Owners of a limited edition of the game will be blessed with the addition of six cars: Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, Ford Shelby GT500, Audi TT RS Coupe, Chevrolet Camaro SS, Porsche Cayman S and Dodge Challenger SRT8. The Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione and Ford Shelby GT500 will only be available in the Limited Edition version of the game.

Until the game and demo arrives, we've included another trailer showing the usual Need for Speed business. You know, so that you stay worked up until the November release.

The game will be released in November for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and Wii (this version of the game will be developed by Exient).
