NASCAR Announces 2010 Sprint Cup Calendar

With the Chase list now confirmed for the remaining 10 rounds of the 2009 Sprint Cup season, the NASCAR officials have unveiled the schedule for the upcoming year. And there are little changes brought to the Sprint Cup Series next year, with the most notable ones related to the non-championship event at Daytona.

The Budweiser Shootout in 2010 will get under way in the very same day as the qualifying session for the Daytona 500 race. So far, although held in the same weekend, the drivers had 24 hours to rest between the two outings. However, no changes were announced in the Shootout's format.

Among other slight changes to the calendar there is the switch between the races at Phoenix International Raceway and Texas Motor Speedway (the former being moved ahead of the later in April) while also between Dover International Speedway and Lowe's Motor Speedway (in May).
