With Volkswagen Touareg V6 TDI expected to be launched in the North American market in just a few weeks, the German automaker will also roll out a special limited edition Touareg equipped with numerous exclusive features in both the interior and exterior. The Touareg “Lux Limited”, which was showcased at the 2009 North American International Auto Show, will sport the new V6 TDI plus two gasoline engines, namely a V6 FSI (206 kW/280 PS) and a V8 FSI (257 kW/350 PS).

As expected, the interior and the exterior are both decorated with luxurious and elegant elements, hence the “Lux Limited” name. The exterior has been modified with 20-inch alloy wheels, “Ayers Rock” type with all-season tires, the German automaker said in a statement for the press. In addition, the new model features a special styling package that includes new side skirts and customize front and rear aprons. There are several exterior colors available, as it follows: "Biscay blue", "Black magic pearl effect", "Campanella white" and "Galapagos gray".

Beside the much-praised standard equipment of the upcoming Volkswagen Touareg, the Lux Limited version adds two-tone leather interior with special interior accents, depending on the exterior color the client chooses. There are two possible combinations available, as Volkswagen mentioned in the statement:
  • Version 1: Cricket leather in the color combination "Latte Macchiato / St. Tropez white"; where the center seat panels are kept in white. In this case, the interior accents are in "Poplar grain" decor.
  • Version 2: Cricket leather in "Anthracite / St. Tropez white". An "Engine spin dark" decor with a metallic look and feel is used here. In both variants the door panel inserts are trimmed in "St. Tropez white".
