Motorexpo to Explode This Year

Motorexpo, Britain’s biggest free-entrance motoring event, is promising to offer an extended experience this summer. The 2011 edition of the event will be bigger that the previous ones, as a record number of automakers have already signed up.

Another draw for potential Motorexpo exhibitors is the knowledge that 82 percent of attendees don’t attend any other motoring-orientated event.  This is the only opportunity to get in front of them. The 97-acre, privately-run Canary Wharf estate is a world-class destination, and also offers more than 200 shops, cafes and restaurants, so there really is something for everyone,” said Graeme Carver, Motorexpo CEO.

The list of automotive producers that have already confirmed their presence includes Bentley, BMW, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, Saab, Skoda, Tesla, Vauxhall and Volvo. A total of 250 automotive creations will be displayed.

Speaking at the 2010 edition of the event, Marcus Wall, Experiential Marketing Manager at Jaguar Cars, said: “At Canary Wharf there is a high concentration of Jaguar customers and, more importantly, Jaguar prospects.  As the event is free to enter, nobody is deterred from coming along, which gives us a great opportunity to showcase our newest cars that are only just entering showrooms.

Organizers expect around 400,000 visitors for the 2011 Canary Wharf London Motorexpo. This will make the seven-day event the biggest in its 15-year history. The event is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm (Monday 6th to Saturday 11th of June) and 11 am to 5 pm on Sunday 12th.
