On the 9th of January, Bally's Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas will see more than 50 bikes from the Wayne Pierce family museum collection under the hammer of Bonhams.
The lot includes many old Harley-Davidson, among which several machines are truly rare and hard to come by. We should name here an 1957 Sportster which is believed to be the 10th XL883 ever produced, an 1933 police Harley VLW which has actually had its fair share of street action in Chicago and which can be seen in "The Untouchables" gangster movie, together with Kevin Costner.
Other bikes which saw racing glory together with Wayne "Pappy" Pierce are also expected to change hands after the 9 January event, so if you're into old-school Harley-Davidson machinery dripping with classic glory and racing DNA, then it's Las Vegas for you after the New Year's Eve bash.
