Frankly, it's hard to fathom how many updates will we bring you on the Energica Ego machine until it will finally make it to its first customer, sometime in February 2015.
Why is CRP Group taking so much to have this bike on the street may be a matter of financial or production issues which still need refinement.

A pre-production bike was tested by the media and it seemed just fine, even if the finish was not exactly ready for the world.

Energica Ego seems like a pretty cool electric sportsbike if we take a closer look at the specs, and in case the price will not be raised, we might be looking at a very decent electric road terror machine.

So far, the bike is good for 100 kW (134 hp) and 195 Nm (144 lb-ft) of torque, reeaching a top speed of 240 km/h (150 mph), but it remains to be seen whether the $22,900 (€18,000) announced price will be the right one.

While we can't shake the strong Yamaha YZF-R1 chill off our backs when looking at the Energica Ego, we must also admit that it looks simply gorgeous.
