Each time we watch such footage, there's only one question coming to mind: "What in the world were these guys thinking?"
For starters, we kind of hate jaywalkers, especially because most of them have an erratic behavior, pretty much like the woman in this video. We know that crossing the street in illegal places is a thing which simply happens, and pretty much everybody will do so once in a while.
However, seeing this lady venturing towards the middle of the street and initially not observing the huge traffic is really scary. Understanding she would be trapped on the double center line, she takes the worst decision: to turn back, without checking for incoming vehicles.
Seeing the scooter hitting her full-on was no surprise, unfortunately, and we also believe the rider was not paying enough attention. Every aware rider in his own mind would slow down when jaywalkers are in sight, just because, you see, many of them behave erratically and would jump, turn back when motorists expect the least.
