Mercedes has released images of an upcoming yacht project, a 46-foot machine that will see the light of production next year. Daimler’s division has been involved in the past with diverse projects, and this one will be co-developed with Siver Arrows Marine, a UK-based specialists.
The yacht will be officially presented next year under the name “Granturismo” at the 2013 Monaco Yacht Show.
"Giving shape to a boat was an exciting challenge for automotive designers like we are," said Gorden Wagener, Head of Design Mercedes-Benz Cars.
"Our task was to explore how to apply the Mercedes-Benz design language to the particular proportions and specific requirements of a boat. We wanted to create something special and what we have come up with is indeed unique. The ‘Silver Arrow of the seas’ embodies pure emotion and stands for luxury, style and pleasure," he added.
