While Mercedes is scheduled to offer us the S-Class Coupe at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, the AMG engineers are still out there testing the more muscular version(s) of the grand tourer.
The W217 S-Class Coupe was recently spied in a district of Böblingen, in the proximity of Stuttgart (Germany). The car is still covered in heavy camouflage. In fact, they’ve hidden it so well that, from the distance, it’s almost impossible to tell you are dealing with an AMG. Nonetheless, the massive brakes, as well as the tailpipes, are clues that this is the S63 AMG Coupe.
We’ve recently had a go in the S63 AMG 4Matic and our greatest curiosity for the upcoming coupe is the implementation of the tilting suspension - this means that car leans into the bends, a bit like a motorcycle.
This is a new feature, not present on the sedan and we’re dying to see it at work, especially on the AMG version.
