If we told you to describe a German car with over 350 horsepower that gets to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, you'd naturally think of the Porsche 911, maybe some sort of RS Porsche. Mercedes knows this and wants to turn this conception on its head with the A45 AMG.
The first AMG car with a turbocharged 2.0-liter transversally mounted engine is a veritable road rocket, producing 360 horsepower, enough to make it the highest specific output engine out there.
After spending countless ours looking at the brochures, we've come to the conclusion that this is a very expensive sportscar, not a toy for average Joes. Still, that long options list means customization is infinite and the look can be fantastic.

MG driving instructor Lance David Arnold takes us through the finest points of the A45 AMG. We're pretty sure the Germans will find thousands of customers willing to part with their money because there's never been a dull AMG.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
